Mike Bodkin

  • Marathon finisher: Detroit Free Press Marathon, Around the Bay, TW Toronto Marathon

Started as a new runner during the pandemic — now committed to helping others discover their potential and confidence through running.

Meet Coach Mike: From Pandemic Runner to Passionate Coach!

Mike’s running journey started in the middle of a pandemic while completing his PhD at Western University—and what began as a simple outlet quickly turned into a passion.

Moving to West 5 in 2020, Mike joined a local running club that became more than just a training group—it was a community. Running opened the door to new friendships, strength, and motivation that would fuel his competitive spirit and coaching journey. Now, Mike is all about helping others find their love for running. He has coached Couch-to-5K programs for several seasons while still making time to train and race himself. You’ll find him at:

  •  Local races like Jordan’s Run the Runway, Run with Pride & Forest City Road Races
  •  Tackling major events like Around the Bay & Toronto Waterfront Marathon
  •  Most recently, he crushed the Detroit Free Press International Marathon
  • Beyond running,

Mike:

  •  Is a certified barista
  •  Loves karaoke (ask him for a song suggestion!)
  •  Is embracing strength training to take his next race to the next level!

Now at The Rep Room, Mike is ready to help YOU hit your next running milestone. Whether you’re just getting started or chasing a personal best, he’s here to coach, motivate, and help you love running as much as he does.
